Last year we sold a fantastic breeding horse, Álffinnur frá Syðri Gegnishólum to Alfakungen AB and now he is at Ylva Hagander farm, Fors gard in Sweden. Álffinnur is second in line of four full siblings who are all fantastic "gæðingar" from Álfadís frá Selfossi and Orra frá Þúfu who both have hororary price for offsprings.
Álfur frá Selfossi is the oldest with 8,46 total score which he got six years old, the youngest to receive honorary price for offspring and the famous trophy Sleipnisbikarinn at Landsmót only 9 years old.
Next in line is Álffinnur with 8,37 total score which he got when he was 7 years of age and with that he did beat his brothers record as the youngest horse to obtain honorary price for offsprings only 8 years of age.
The next full sibling is Álfhildur with a total score of 8,52 which she got when she was 6 years old, including a score of 10,0 for tölt and temparament and willingness. Álfhildur won the class of 6 year old mares at Landsmót 2017.
Youngest of the full siblings is Álfgrímur, he received 8,46 total score at Landsmót 2016 only 5 years old as a fourgaiter.
I'd like to bring your attention to the fact that Álffinnur will be awailable for breeding at Stenholmen in Sweden this year and I am writing this since I'm not sure everybody knows of his background and breeding value. More information can be found at his website http://alffinnur.forsgard.se/

I just received few pictures from the final night in the Masters League last friday.:) Bergur and Elin were chosen the most professional riders of the League 2017. Our team Gangmyllan was in third place in the team competition and was chosen the most entertaining team in the Masters League of 2017.:) In the riders competition as we know Bergur won, Elin was in 5th place and Freyja in 14th place, riding only 4 of the 8 disciplines and her first year in the MD.

A selfie from the evening's competition, since nobody else takes a picture when the results are like tonight. Not the best evening for the Gangmyllan team in the 5 gate in Masters League but fun and nice anyway.

While trainin today we noticed that more than half of the horses in the riding hall were from Hellubær and that Vaka, that great gæðingur is the mother of them all. We had to taka a picture of course. Far left is Váli going 6y old sire Kiljan from Steinnes then Viðátta going 5y old sire Ljóni from Ketilsstaðir and the youngest one is nn. going 4y old sire Brimnr from Ketilsstaðir. Vaka was an endless gæðingur and I think she has the highest score for riding abilities as a 4y old 4 gaiter ever with a total score of 8,48, there of 9,5 for trot, canter and slow tempo canter and 9,0 for tölt, form under rider and willingness. Vakas mother is Gola frá Hellubæ who is a daughther of Gáski from Hofsstaðir and Feykir from Hafsteinsstaðir. Four of Vakas offsprings have got 1st price. We are very lucky to have a fourgaited daughther of hers in our breeding, her name is Védís with 9,5 for slow tempo tolt and slow tempo canter like her mother and brother, Vestri from Hellubær. A precious quality when it is hard to find horses with good canter.
